After fleeing the war in Syria, they settled in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. The young Hadad’s initial intention was to become a doctor, but survival came first. Together with his father, they started what they know best – making chocolates. The movie beautifully captures their journey of resilience and hope, highlighting how they rebuilt their lives and started the Peace by Chocolate company, which has since become a symbol of community support and entrepreneurial spirit. |
